Lit by Pennine Lymphoma Support Group 11th August 2021
This lasting candle represents the donation on behalf of the Pennine Lymphoma Support Group. This is in recognition of the inspirational work of Joyce and the group members in their mission to support those affected by Lymphoma.
After the loss of Joyce and the impact of the pandemic, the group has been unable to continue their valuable work and as a result, has closed. Since the formation of the group in 2010, there have been 10 years of wonderful work supporting those affected by lymphoma in the footprint of the Pennine Acute hospitals.
Choosing to donate to Lymphoma Action recognises the important work they do and acknowledges the positive relationship with Joyce and the Pennine Lymphoma Support group. It is a natural destination for this donation and will continue to provide much-needed support beyond the group closure.
This candle was first lit on the 11th of August 2021 and will burn for 97 years 2 months and 24 days.
